Telluride is severely understated, and they like it that way. An easy flight into Montrose will get you just an hour and twenty minutes from Telluride Town. The mountains are blue, the slope are wide open, and the Apres Ski is spectacular.
If you’re looking for a cute ski town that comes alive under the white snow, Telluride is your place. Of course, standing out is a must, our Racysuits’ did just that.

Suited Up
Racysuits is an adventure lifestyle brand designed and made in USA by California native, Marina Barnes. An idea sparked by her grandfather’s custom ski racing suits.
Circa 1980
The Racysuits legacy begins in the early 1980s, when friendship, skiing, and a self-taught seamstress came together to change the fashion of Squaw Valley ski racing. US Alpine Masters ski racers, Norma and Bob shared a love of snowy mountains, skis on their feet and wind in their faces and they weren’t afraid to show it. Unsatisfied with the ski suits available in the early 1980s, Norma began sewing custom ski racing suits that defied tradition, bringing an audacious attitude and splash of color to the Squaw Valley racing scene. Norma and Bob both raced into their late 80s. #goals
Est. 2016
Founder, Marina Barnes, stumbled upon a box of her grandfather’s wild racing suits tucked away in a closet that the revival of Norma’s ski suits began. Racysuits are now fulfilling their mission to bring the same life and personality to the mountain that Norma and Bob did 30+ years ago.

Alright — let’s cut to the chase. Here are the spots you don’t want to miss for all your post-ski shenanigans.
- High Camp
- Gorrono Ranch
- Alpine Vino
- Tomboy Tavern
- New Sheridan Hotel
1.) High Camp

Located at the top of Prospect Bowl, High Camp serves hot drinks, sandwiches, soups, and snacks. The High Camp Warming Hut is open daily until 3 pm.
There are picnic tables and lawn chairs so you can sit back and warm up. This is a must-see for Telluride.

2.) Gorrono Ranch
Located mid-mountain as well, Gorrano Ranch was by-far our favorite spot to stop mid-day for lunch and a few cocktails. With plenty of seating, live music daily, and multiple registers for drinks and food it makes for the ultimate après ski. I suggest the spiked hot cider, they also had great drink features starting at just $6. We also loved the Titos Lemonade.

5.) New Sheridan Historic Bar (Telluride Town)

What’s great about Telluride is you can either take a lift over to the other side of the mountain and end your day in Telluride Town, or take the gondola (until 2 am most nights) over to the town.
The New Sheridan Hotel is a must. It’s a staple and known for its design and history. The Historic Bar is a great place to pop into after a day of skiing or in the evening for a night out. The Chop House restaurant is great for brunch.
